Outdoor Range Rules

The Wallum Lake Rod & Gun Club Outdoor Rifle and Pistol range is equipped with 14 rifle shooting stations and 12 pistol shooting stations.

The Rifle range contains a 200 yard target area. The Pistol range contains a 50 yard target area.

Wooden and steel target stands are provided. Steel targets are positioned on both ranges.

Members and guests are required to sign in and pay guest fees in the Clubhouse BEFORE using the ranges and sign out when their shooting has finished.

Procedures and costs are posted on the the wall under the log book.

The range was completely renovated in May, 2012 with the building of a new clubhouse fully heated and air conditioned with seating capacity.

The club's Rifle team competes in shoots and competitions with the club hosting a number of special shooting events.

The hours of operation for the Outdoor Rifle Range:

  • Monday - Saturday:  09:00-Sunset
  • Sunday: 10:00-Sunset
  • Sunset times vary, but common sense dictates that if you can't clearly see your target and beyond then you should NOT be shooting!
