Sept 12th 6pm-10pm MA LTC Class
A non-shooting course that teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and to explain the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. This is a four-hour course for safe gun handling that is conducted in the classroom only. Students are taught NRA’s three rules for safe gun handling; primary causes of firearms accidents; firearm parts; how to unload certain action types; ammunition components; cleaning; care; safe storage of firearms in the home; and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. Students will receive the NRA Home Firearm Safety handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, course completion certificate.
A last class before the rules change and meets the current requirement resident/non-resident MA LTC
This class has NO live fire component. Cost is $50. For members and $75. Non-members.

Oct 17th 7pm-9pm Drawing from the Holster
If you have a CCW or ultimately want to get a CCW, learn how to safely and rapidly draw a loaded firearm from an on the body holster. You will learn about different holster options, and practice drawing from the holster using an outside the waistband holster. You may bring your firearm if you'd like.
This class has a live fire component. Cost is $50. For members and $75. Non-members.

Nov 7th 7pm-9pm Low Light
This course is designed for novice through experienced firearms users who want to increase their skills while shooting in diminished light conditions. The course covers principals of low light, basics of how your body processes lighting variations, flashlight types and features, how to carry, switchology, use of cover integrated with light, and how to use your weapon light and handheld light for target identification and engagement.
This class has a live fire component. Cost is $50. For members and $75. Non-members.

Dec 5th 7pm-9pm Red Dot Pistol
Pistol mounted optics (red dot sights) can be beneficial to both new and experienced shooters. To get the most out of them, you must know how to use them correctly. Learn the techniques to properly use pistol mounted optics (red dots) for self-defense. This course focuses on the fundamentals and capabilities of these sights and the proper techniques for optic sight-in and acquisition under different conditions and circumstances.
This class has a live fire component. Cost is $50. For members and $75. Non-members.

NRA Basic Personal Protection in the Home Course
Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for protection of self and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense. This course is for shooters able to show mastery of the basic skills of safe gun handling, shooting a group, zeroing the firearm, and cleaning the firearm). Students will learn basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, firearms and the law, how to choose a handgun for self-defense, and continued opportunities for skill development.
This class has a live fire component
Cost is $100 for members and $180 non-members

NRA Instructor Basic Personal Protection in the Home Course
This course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching the NRA Basic Personal Protection in the Home course. Students demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course and complete an instructor certification examination.

NRA Basics of Personal Protection Outside the Home Course
Teaches students the knowledge, skills and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense outside the home. Participants must also understand the basic legal concepts relating to the use of firearms in self-defense and must know and observe not only general gun safety rules, but also those safety principles that are specific to defensive situations. The essential knowledge and skills that must be mastered in order to carry, store, and use a firearm safely and effectively for personal protection outside the home.
