Pistol Pits Walls of Steel
Six Pistol Pits with steel knock-down targets
Watch for announcements about which of the pits are open for use
- You must qualify before you can use the pits - contact the Walls of Steel Chairman to get qualified
- PISTOLS ONLY - No rifles (too much target damage)
- You must sign in and out at the clubhouse
- Range Fee: Guests $5 per day

Monday thru Saturday 9am to dusk
Sunday 10am to dusk
Hunting season 11am to dusk
Location
The Pistol Pits Walls of Steel are located at the top of the property beyond the skeet area and just beyond the 3D Archery area. Parking in pits 1-3 is prohibited, Park vehicles in the field.
Rules
- Any member wishing to use the pistol pits must attend a mandatory orientation
- All shooters must sign in at the club house prior to use of the pistol pits and sign out upon completion of use, this includes all guests as well
- All members must have their club badge on person and be prepared to show their badge upon request when in the pits
- Travel up to and from the pits is to adhere to the 5 mph speed limit
- If there is activity in the upper skeet field, drivers are to respect those shooters and wait until waved on by them
- Eye and ear protection are mandatory for all persons in the pistol pits whether shooting or not
- Center fire handguns only in Pits 1, 2 and 3. Rifles and shotguns may be used in pit 4-7 for 3gun or tactical training, DO NOT SHOOT CLUB STEEL WITH LONG GUNS
- There is no shooting of steel targets closer than 30 feet with handguns and there is no shooting of club steel with rifle or shotgun period
- If more than 1 shooter wants to use a particular pit, please be respectful and take turns or share
- Guests: members are allowed to bring up to 3 guests, spouse does not count as a guest, these guests include children under 18 yo. Guests must sign in as well as sign a waiver form and pay guest fee at time of sign in. There are no guest fees for children under 18 yo. Members must supervise guest shooting and there can be only 1 shooter at a time
- All targets must remain in place where they are, no paper targets are allowed in pits 1-3
- Ammunition: must not exceed 1350 fps
Must not be slower than 750 fps
No armor piercing, tracer, incendiary or explosive ammo
No rim fire of any caliber allowed in any pistol pits
- All firearms must be unloaded and stowed safely while persons are down range ie: resetting targets

Life Membership criteria
For members with anniversary date prior to March 2013:
Any member with a membership in good standing prior to March 2013 who has maintained 10 years membership in good standing and has reached the age of 65 may apply for Life Membership in the year of their 65th birthday to take effect the following membership year.
For members with an anniversary date of March 2013 or later:
In order to apply for a life membership, members must earn 90 Years. One year is given for each year of your age and one year for each year as being a member in good standing. This rule will be waived for any current member who wishes to as of the end of 2012, and would take effect as of March 2013 for any members joining the club.

Claiming hours for selling major raffle tickets is at the committee chair discretion:
For every 10 tickets a work hours credit of 5 hours is earned.
If you sell 10 tickets, you get 5 hours.
If you sell 19 tickets you get 5 hours.
If you sell 20 tickets you get 10 hours... etc.

Check Your Work Hours
Work hours might take from 4 - 8 weeks to post.
Process: The work slip is filled out and signed by you, then the committee chair needs to sign the slip.
The Board of Trustees then needs to sign the slips.
Then the membership secretary collects the signed slips and posts the hours into the system.
It is at that time the hours are then posted on the web site.
SO PLEASE BE PATIENT !
*** NO EXCEPTIONS *** If you have a problem with the number of hours posted for you, you need to get the membership secretary a copy of your work slip that is signed by you Committee Chair and the Board of Trustees. After this slip is signed by the Board of Trustees, a yellow copy is left by the slip drop off. You need to go through them to get your signed, by both your Committee chair and Board of Trustees, work slip. *** NO EXCEPTIONS ***
